Family cyclists promoting the 11km family spin as part of the An Post Meath Heritage Cycle Tour which takes place at 5pm from Trim Castle today. Families can register on the day from 2pm in the marquee on the grounds of Trim Castle. The 11km Family Spin is a flat route, suitable for all family members. The aim of the Family spin is to promote the fun and enjoyment of cycling, with safety a key priority. This is open to children aged 6 years and over – stabilisers/tricycles are not permitted. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all stages of the cycle. Cost per entrant is €3. All participants must wear a helmet.

The 50km Tara Loop, 100km Royal Tour & 160km Royal Challenge takes place on Sunday 26th July – those interested in taking part can register online or call into our office up to 5pm on the 22nd July. On Sunday 26th an array of food stalls and bouncy castles will add to the friendly family atmosphere at the start/finish area on Castle Street. So once you have completed the 11km on the Sat, why not bring the family along and support the cyclists on the Sun.
