Our 2009 Programme Review

An Bhoinn -Sickle cutting of riverbed weeds - completed.

Porchfields - An Bhoinn Riverwalk (Phase I) – completed.

Linear Park
Landscaped display of river name (An Boinn) on Avondale Hill. 
Linear Park riverside pailing installed. 
Dead trees have been selectively removed to allow regrowth, other trees to reach maturity and provide more light for shrubs.
Footbridge over stream by Youthreach deferred to 2005.

Pratt Park  
Decorative flower boat upgraded.
Existing Flower Beds upgraded
Information display utilised.
Wildlife and Natural Habitat
Linear Park reserved some wildlife area.
Litter maintenance of water meadow achieved.

Floral Display and Landscaping.
(a) New Beds
 Our Lady of Trim Park – Completed.
Navan Road at Kiltoome – Completed.
5 beds at Courthouse – Completed.
Old Weighbridge on Patrick Street –  Completed.
4 beds at Summerhill/Longwood Road
Roundabout – Completed.
Manorlands Estate / Kinnegad Road –
Completed.

(b) Upgrading of Existing Beds
Dublin Road/Ring Road Roundabout – Completed.
Community School / The Maudlins – Completed
Loman Street – Completed.

(c) Existing Beds
Dublin Road / Newtown Road Junction – Maintained
Pratt Park – Maintained
French’s Lane – Maintained
Navan Gate – Maintained
(d) 65 tubs display, 130 hanging baskets and 45 flower boxes on Bridges and Courthouse were displayed.
New street signage - completed.

Derelict Sites     
Loman Street – Remedied.
Market Street – Remedied.
High Street – Remedied.
Navan Gate – Restricted access only allowed for partial remedy.

Arts and Crafts Projects by Youthreach
New shop front on derelict site in Market Street – Achieved.
Railway bridge at Kiltoome / Navan Road – Achieved.

Litter Control
Every Residents Association were allocated specific areas of the approach roads and Inner Relief Road as well as their own estate as part of litter control programme.  Schools are actively involved in Anti-Litter League.  Voluntary work by the Committee in association with the Chamber of Commerce and Trim Town Council.
