Welcome to Trim Tidy Towns Official Website
Trim, once the jewel in the crown in the National Tidy Towns Competition, having won the overall national title in 1972, 1974 and 1984 – a feat unparalleled by any other town in the history of the competition had in recent years, due to the passage of time from one generation to the next and the impact of developments, required to meet the demand of a satellite town of the capital, failed to attain the standard of excellence now required to achieve the highest accolade in the town category and the overall national award; The Yellow Steeple.

The 2011 Trim Tidy Towns Committee has introduced new blood and with a balance of experience and youthful enthusiasm it is now embarking on an ambitious programme, in association with numerous local agencies and community groups, that will see Trim return to its former glory.

This, our first overall development approach plan of recent times, clearly sets out our aspirations and how we intend to achieve them. Our new website clearly covers all area's of our development plan and will keep the public updated with local news & events.
